Società Agricola Satrico

Automation and Monitoring
We chose the DropControl platform because it allows us to have more efficient control over our irrigation management in the field. Kiwifruit needs large quantities of water: we supply up to 100 liters per day during the hottest days and during fruit growth.
The company has installed an irrigation monitoring and automation system equipped with a probe and a flow meter for each sector, as well as a weather station. In addition, the company manages fertigation through DropControl. This makes it possible to monitor data in real time and manage irrigation in a precise and detailed way, optimizing the use of water and fertilizers.
This automation allows us to be more precise in controlling daily water use, thanks to the installation of a probe and a flow meter for each sector.
The main advantages we've seen are having more time available for the agronomic management of the crop and reducing water and energy consumption. Additionally, DropControl allows us to control a fertigation unit as well, so we can provide the plants with nutrients quickly and in a controlled way.
