Dropcontrol telemetry for monitoring soil moisture sensors, weather station, control, fertigation and irrigation monitoring

The adoption of DropControl has marked a milestone in irrigation efficiency at the hacienda. By integrating irrigation data, weather station data, and soil moisture sensor data, the platform provides a complete overview of the water status across all cultivated hectares. With this information, Samuel and his team have been able to precisely adjust irrigation schedules, avoiding both water excess and scarcity.
The benefits of this innovation are remarkable. Hacienda Los Quillayes has achieved water savings of 10% to 15% without compromising the quality or productivity of its crops. Furthermore, the implementation of tunnels to protect the cherries has allowed them to extend the production season, making the hacienda a benchmark in the region.

In 2023, Hacienda Los Quillayes was awarded "Farm of the Year," a recognition that highlights its excellence in productivity, quality, and sustainability. Looking to the future, the hacienda continues its constant search for ongoing innovation and improvement
