Our timeline History

  • 2006Foundation

    The company was founded in Chile by Guillermo Valenzuela, José Ulloa, Luis Felipe Escobar, and Cristobal Rivas. Developing the first automation hardware solutions catering to agriculture, irrigation districts, and the mining industry.

  • 2009DropControl starts development

    Awarded a grant to develop the cloud-based irrigation system, DropControl. Decided to focus solely on agriculture.

  • 2011DropControl Launch

    Launched DropControl with the RF-X1 flexible pump & valve control unit.

  • 2015USA opens

    Established an office in Fresno, California opening the US market

  • 2017First 1,000 nodes

    Installed and deployed the first 1,000 nodes.

  • 2018The RF-C1

    Launched the RF-C1 controlled unit.

  • 2019The RF-M1

    Installed and brought online a total of 5,000 nodes. Launched the RF-M1 monitoring unit.

  • 2020Patent Granted

    Patent granted in US, EU and Australia for smart distributed monitoring and control system.

  • 2021First 10,000 nodes

    Installed and deployed a total of 10,000 nodes.

  • 2023Offices in Australia & Europe

    Established offices in Mildura, Australia; Madrid, Spain; and Trento , Italy.

  • 2024First 20,000 nodes & RF-V1 Launch

    Installed and brought online a total of 20,000 nodes. Launched the RF-V1 device, increasing the available options for more specific demands. The RF-V1 specializes in valve control and monitoring.
